Cast your vote in the CNET Webware 100

The big November election is still a few months away. But if you’re itching to vote for something now, you can cast your ballot to help decide which Web 2.0 tools are the best of the best. And while you’re at it, you can also show your support for Microsoft Office Live Small Business. That’s right, Office Live Small Business is among the 300 finalists in this year’s CNET Webware 100, which ranks the 10 best online applications in 10 different categories. The 100 winning apps are chosen by a popular vote of Web users like you. Last year, voters added Office Live to the Webware 100 in the Productivity category. This year, we’re nominated (woo-hoo!) in the Commerce and Events category. So vote today and help other small-business owners discover Office Live Small Business. Voting closes March 31, and the winners are announced April 21 before the start of the Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco.

I admit I had a few second thoughts about my reliance on Office Live Small Business after I couldn't access my business e-mail during yesterday's Live ID fiasco, but I voted for you anyway (after realizing that it's not your division's fault).

Still, the next time you see a Live ID manager around your Microsoft campus feel free to throw something at him or her on behalf of your users.
