Only problem I see with the above solution is that unlike my solution at http://silvermoonfurniture.com/online.aspx when you click on "View Cart" you see a SSL (secure socket layer encripted) connection ( that little lock that appears at the bottom right on internet explorer) when you click on their "View Cart" you do not see a secure connection. Your customers will be so impressed with their information being transmitted over the internet in the clear and not through a secure connection.

There is nothing secure information before your pass cart to paypal or google checkout. All checkout and payment, shipping  information are handled by paypal/google.

Cool things are you can manage your products in you Business Application and very easy to install. You don't need to setup those paypal/google code anymore!  

It does not matter what e-commerce solution you choose but if you want your website to be compliant with Better Business Bureau standards and to be able to post a Reliabilty Seal  on your website all customer transactions right from the start of adding things to your shopping cart they require a SSL connection right from the beginning of the transaction not just when you "Check Out".Be my guest and click on the seal and you will see it is the real deal.

I am not defense on you.

The BBB seal is not necessay.  It does nothing to help customer.  Do you see the Seal on Paypal, Google checkout or Microsoft those big sites?

The customer should care about where is their information kept and how is transftered over the internet, not those "Seals". If you pass your private information without encrypt over internet and can't keep it safe, those are big risks. Even you put those Seals, if you collect private information from clients, how could you save it safely as a small business? 

As small business owner, I will not save those private information at all, except name,  email and phone no. for business purpose only.

 Would OLXT work to do this: I want to create an online catalog of the products I sell and allow customers to create their account and have it saved, login later with email address and password.  Also, I need to be able to create the catalog and have them add items to their cart, only difference, I don't need paypal or google, I work with Purchas Orders and possiblt credit cards, would this be good for me or is there another source, I prefer not to pay a monthly fee since I am a small company and watching expenses. Thanks for any help.

Wow, another let down I'm facing.  I may have to move my site from windows live then if something like this cannot be done.  You would think it would be simple since I am actually eliminating the google and paypal items.  Any suggestions on what could do what I need? Thanks. 

Hi Erik,

Unfortunately, membership functionality is not available on Office Live.  For a free hosted alternative (also paid versions as well), you can try Wosbee.  Just a word of warning though, it is definitely not simple to configure, but it is very powerful and flexible.

Of course.  It (referring to Wosbee) can do almost anything you want, provided you know how to configure it.
