But do we really want forum discussions clogging up our Favorites lists, especially given the lousy Favorites management provided by IE7?
The interface model for discussions such as these already has been perfected by newsreaders. The developers are trying to make a web browser do what newsreaders do, only with less functionality. But, as with weblogs and their attendant user feedback "forums", we've traded functionality for ease of use, much to the detriment of the art of constructive and meaningful discussion.
Web-based discussion forums should try to imitate newsreaders as much as possible, even though they can never provide the same level of functionality.
