How can you get companies to pay for advertising on your website?

I too would like to use Google Adsense - but as I am so new to IT I haven`t a clue how to go about trying to place an Adsense advert on my site. How did you start? is it difficult to do?

There are various ad networks for which you can sign up as a publisher. all the networks are free.

Here is list of couple of network for which you can sign up

Google Adsense (contextual)
Yahoo Publishers Network (contextual)
Bidvertiser
Chitika (contextual only for premium users)
Adbrite
if you are beginner then first sign up for Adsense, which is best of all above networks. Here are tips on how to embed adsense code on Office Live pages.

or you can place ad units on your site similar to how we have put on Home page for getting ads.

See with your ad Dr. you lost converts when you asked for them to pay you and it sorta has a spammer look to it. I find just a straight forward ad like the following has just a much as a effect:

I tried to save my Adsense code as myAdpage.htm/.html and it says "invalid name" and cannot be saved. Prior to that I tried to paste my Adsense code directly to HTML module in my website but it didn't appear.  I am using Officelive basic.  Please see my website www.hopeforjoy.org and see if there is something wrong with my format or page.  Or please tell me how to work it out.  I really wanted to ad Google adsense on my website as long as it is allowed in officelive basic.

Hello! I compared the procedure @ http://solutionsforofficelive.com/googleadsense2.aspx & they were different.  I'm confused with this one here & just a little bit there. Please advice me coz I've been trying to do it many times. 

While google ads is not a get rich quick scheme, it does work. I have added ads to my site.
