Microsoft Office Live Small Business Community

How do I get my domain name from windows live so i can use a different hosting site.

I dont know anything about websites, and had a friend of mine build me a site that I love, and she did it all in HTML code..I dont know code, but purchased the domain through windows live and now she cant get access to upload the files and get them up online...

She knows how to host and how to do the code, ....She is finished and just needs to upload the files and pictures...but she keeps getting an error that she is not allowed on the account....?....no access to upload files....

Can you get the domain name un locked from windows live and use another hosting company to get the site up......

 not sure this has anything to do with you but if you are wanting her to get to your ol account, i think under "manage accounts"( white box far left at the bottom) on the main orangish page, there is a permission place so you can add her to it ( my own site kept locking me out of one of my linked accounts adn that is how i found it) if you are trying to get your domain name from OL i know you can't for i think it's 60 days ( or 90) after your register it with OL...i tried that too. if you ard asking something else, sorry no idea:)

What kinda of error are you getting?  Contacting support should get you the answers you need for the errors for uploading, which has been a common problem.
