nasty bug

I have been using Office Live for several months.  Suddenly today there is a FedEx ad that sits permanently in the middle of the window, and there's no getting rid of it.  Makes it very difficult to work on the website.

Coalition,

I've encountered that as well with the Fedex Ad. It's very intrusive. I guess that's the downside of an ad-supported free product.

I see your point; I will call attention to it

Re: nasty bug

Question: in my screen the ad "plays" and while that is happening gets a little on the way; but then it ends and is not in my way any more. does it behave the same in yours?

Hey Filiberto,

While keeping the ad on the screen, resize your browser to be half its size vertically.   Then use the scroll bar to scroll through the webpage and you will see what we mean.

Hope this helps!

Re: nasty bug

I can see it encroaches even more; but eventually goes away. I am not dismissing the fact that it encroaches, just trying to verify if in your screen it also ends up going away (or does it remain there blocking?)

Re: nasty bug

it goes away on mine but if you don't hit the close fast enough it turns into replay and it is very annoying. i don't mind the pop ups that stay on the top but i hate the ones that follow you down the screen

Okay, I found the reply button.  Sorry I missed it before.

When it was there, it stayed there.  It was worse than trying to watch television with a cat sitting on top of the TV with its tail hanging down in front of the screen.

Today I have a well-behaved Sprint ad.

Re: nasty bug

Hey Filiberto,

I haven't seen the intrusive FedEx ad for a while (but there were other, well-behaved FedEx ads).  Has it been removed?

Thanks.

Re: nasty bug

I am having problems with the Fed Ex as well. The only way for me to move it is go to a different tab and back again until it goes away. But every time it pop ups it always stays. Frustrating.

I pay for my service. Why do I have an ad for Fed Ex directly in the middle of page editor that you cannot close? Fire the numbskull that put that on there. Really cheesy!

I am having problems with the Fed Ex as well. Made a comment about this issue early today and it's back again.

Re: nasty bug

Hi Nap,

This bug is really annoying. Because of this annoying ad, I had to completely eliminate the ads on Office Live now by blocking them. Use IE7Pro (http://ie7pro.com/) to do that. In fact, even if you don't use the Ad blocker feature, it is worth installing this add-on. It really makes IE7 much more usable.

Re: nasty bug

I was told the prior one was a mistake; they let in a type of add they shouldn't have. I will report it again.

Here we go again with this FedEx Ad. I just submitted a ticket as well to customer support. I can't use page manger what so ever because of this intrusive ad. I've posted a thread on here recently about this issue. I don't get it "what's the deal".  Here's my ticket need assistance in this area. Thanks,
