I am having exactly the same problem.

Every time I try to sync my contacts (from Office Live) to Outlook &/or Outlook Business Contact Manager I receive the following message:

Task ‘SharePoint’ reported error (0x800FFFF)  An error occurred in either Outlook or Sharepoint.  Contact the Sharepoint administrator.

I've made sure that all of the users (all 3 of them) on the Office Live Business site have administrator privileges; but I still only have "read" privileges for that account in Outlook.  I think that's where the problem exists, but I can't change it. 

Any suggestions?

Hi Sandra,

I've been following your saga here with some horror because this story of contacts/calendar sync is much more confusing that we had hoped. You've got multiple contacts stores, multiple calendars, and multiple sync technologies all working at the same time.  You seem to have hit the perfect storm.

 I've been following this thread with interest and thought you might know the answer to this burning question:

Could you provide some indication of Microsoft's implementation strategy for synchronizing companies between Outlook and OLSB? I want to proceed in a direction that the planned solution will support. For example, if the solutions will utilize the company object in the Business Contact Manager Addin for Outlook, then I'll start using that. If on the other hand it will use a published list of companies in an OL "Sharepoint" folder that has nothing to do with BCM, then I won't use BCM.

Which leads me to my next question:

If I use OLSB feature of publishing a list to MS Access 2007 or Outlook 2007, let's say Companies and Contacts, will the resulting Access database or OL folder somehow retain the lookup field that OLSB uses to link the Contact with a Company?

I am having sync problems, and mys situation is very plain vanilla.

We have XP, 2007 for five users, all Admin  (only me active at the moment)

Set up Contact Sync with initial bunch of contacts (about 50) and it worked PERFECTLY. Both directions.   SO good it was almost spooky.

But now when I add contacts in Outlook to Sharepoint lists/Contacts Manager/Business Contacts they do not get to the website.  Is there a limit of about 120 with the free account I am testing here?

 hey royster...im not able to view my web site onlline...i have copied all file inthe website foldr and also renamed index.html to default.html....still it shows website under construction...pls help
