I would suggest that you log into your account and complete the form letting others know about you.  Also create a bio and signature.  That's a good start to allow others to network with you.

I have joined a few Chamber of Commerces in my state.  I also have a group that I host once a month via http://www.meetup.com you set up your own criteria.  I have a group called Small Business Owner looking for Recognition.  Someone had given me this site via Yahoo Answers.

Like Maria has stated one of the ways to make it easier for people here in the community to be able to network with you is to put all your contact information in your profile and to have a banner ad in your signiture with your website information.
