I was wondering if anybody wants to share a sample with me on how to create shipping rules within the store manager.  I am planning on selling gourmet olive oil (botles only) and trying to set shipping rules up but not sure if I am doing it right or wrong? It would be nice to be able to test it before going live with my site.

You can  create new Shipping Methods in the Office Live Store Manager which includes shipping rules. For instance, if you choose shipping type (By order cost) you can set the minimum and maximum costs as well as the set dollar value for Free shipping orders over that set amount.

To get to the shipping settings. click Sell Online > Settings.

What kind of shipping rules did you have in mind?

I was wondering the logic behind the shipping rules. Like I said earlier, I will be selling bottles of Olive Oil and thought that Shipping set up would calculate auto based on the weight and the zip code for either FEDEX os UPS?

How can I set up a shipping rules if I don't have any idea how much it would cost sending a bottle for 2 LB from Florida to CA?  Is there a sample say by Item Weight?

In addition we are also just about ready to release a video demo of how to do this. I'll post a link to the demo when it's available.

But to answer your question, I would recommend setting up 'weight-based' shipping methods. This allows you to setup a rate table based on the weight of the order and where it's being shipped. In the current version of Store Manager you can specify varying rates by US State and Country. We do not currently support setting up shipping rules based on zip code... but that's coming down the road.
