Wishes Granted!

Seems an unknown genie has granted the wish to not have the cell lines show.  If you go to table properties and remove the color code for the borders, the cell and row lines don't show.  Works very nicely for tables with images for the background.

Since it is a well known fact that genies grant 3 wishes....

That doesn't quite work for how I had made tables with rounded corners.  Since it is also known that you have to be very careful of what wishes you ask of genies, I have examples of what behavior they are doing here:  http://oldesigntips.com/test.aspx and how it worked before is described here;  http://click-to-score.com/oldesigntips4.aspx  Don't know if a genie can grant this wish too, but I am rubbing the lamp  ; )

If this 2nd wish is granted I am going to think carefully before using that last wish.  It might be for large sums of money.  I'll share with the genie : )

I am afraid not all may be as appears...

...here is your site on Internet Explorer 7, looking very nice and with the tables behaving as you describe above:

but unfortunately on Firefox 3 it is a bit of a different story:

I was afraid of that but didn't take the time to check.  Things would be so much easier if it worked the same across everything!  Better wish harder....

Re: Wishes Granted!

Speaking of tables, may I add a couple of wishes:

  1. If you change one property, it does not wipe out all of the other formatting.
  2. If you specify a fill color for several cells, it colors only the cells selected and not the entire table.
  3. Is it possible to return the green dotted lines?  There was something comforting about them.
  4. ...and when working with Page Editor color palettes in general, prevent the page from jumping to the top of the zone with every selection.

I know, I know, picky, picky.  Now, if there is a reason things are the way they are, like preventing font dysplasia, tell the genie to forget it.  Thanks.
