Errors exporting tables form Access 2007 to MOSS, many issues

I'm using Access 2007 sp1 to experiment with office live small business. I had some success but it seems very erratic.

[1] Using the first MOSS account I created I was able to export some tables. Always the first time that I try to export there is an error message that a property is missing.

"MS Access was unable to transfter data to the MS Windows Sharepoint Services site. The 'creating Sharepoint List for 'mytable' step failed. Property not found".

The second time succeeds. If I log out of my workstation and log in again, the issue repeats.

[2] When does any kind of authentication take place during the export? I'm not asked for a user name password.

[3] I created another moss account and an app within it. No matter what I do I cannot export a table to that site. The missing property error appears each time. Doesn't matter if I am logged in to the moss site with that account or not.

[4] The Export to Sharepoint List dialog states that related tables will be moved along with the selected table. But my test1 db that had two related tables only sent up the selected table. On the other hand, my very first experiment with exporting to sharepoint lists was in a db with 40 related tables; and four tables were moved up.

[5] Finally, about 15-20 times the Move to Sharepoint button failed with the message like the missing property message. Just now it worked for the first time. Can anyone explain why?

It adds up to a pretty confusing experience.

The other thing that's really weird is that while I was finally able to use Move to Sharepoint, and from Access I can update the lists; I cannot for the life of me find those lists (tables it moved and relinked to) in any of the moss accounts I have. That 'Move to Sharepoint' does not seem to create an application, and I have no idea where free standing lists are hidden.

 Hi, Trance.

I think you may have the wrong forum for this issue. This forum is for Office Live Small Business Websites.  You may need to visit Office Online

Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) to find your answers. Good luck.

I at least must have used the wrong acronym (moss).  But this should be approx the correct venue, I signed up for MS Office Live Small Business. That's sharepoint, at least in part. The table/list uploads are between Access and Sharepoint. This particular forum is 'Use and Customize Business Applications"; that almost has to be the correct one? But if you're a moderator and think I'm in the wrong spot, then I'm really confused <g>.

Did you look at my response?

Before you do any of that, did you try deleting the Network Accounts for your user. I would recommend you trying that and not to save any network user/passwords. Go to Control Panel->User Accounts->Manage Your Network Passwords->Delete all (You can back them up if you like).

You should also delete everything in this directory:
C:\Documents and Settings\YOURUSERNAME\Application Data\Microsoft\Credentials

and everything in this directory:
C:\Documents and Settings\YOURUSERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Credentials

Do a clean reboot then try again.

Sharepoint has to be authenticated, so if it's not prompting you for a user/password, it's using the cached user/password information.

Royster I posted in response to your question (which is much like this) in the other thread because I saw it there first.
