I'm using Access 2007 sp1 to experiment with office live small business. I had some success but it seems very erratic.
[1] Using the first MOSS account I created I was able to export some tables. Always the first time that I try to export there is an error message that a property is missing.
"MS Access was unable to transfter data to the MS Windows Sharepoint Services site. The 'creating Sharepoint List for 'mytable' step failed. Property not found".
The second time succeeds. If I log out of my workstation and log in again, the issue repeats.
[2] When does any kind of authentication take place during the export? I'm not asked for a user name password.
[3] I created another moss account and an app within it. No matter what I do I cannot export a table to that site. The missing property error appears each time. Doesn't matter if I am logged in to the moss site with that account or not.
[4] The Export to Sharepoint List dialog states that related tables will be moved along with the selected table. But my test1 db that had two related tables only sent up the selected table. On the other hand, my very first experiment with exporting to sharepoint lists was in a db with 40 related tables; and four tables were moved up.
[5] Finally, about 15-20 times the Move to Sharepoint button failed with the message like the missing property message. Just now it worked for the first time. Can anyone explain why?
It adds up to a pretty confusing experience.
