Links with third party web designer

I'm building my site with a third party web designer and am trying to figure out how do I know where to point the link to? I haven't signed up for a custom domain name yet, so I want to know if I link my pages while I use my "throughthefireofrsd.giving.officelive.com" address, when I switch to the custom domain, "www.throughthefireofrsd.org", will I have to fix all the links to point to my custom domain name pages?

For example if I have the first image on my default page linked to "throughthefireofrsd.giving.officelive.com/mystory.html" will that page be changed to "throughthefirofrsd.org/mystory" automatically or does it stay the original name and only my default page change to the custom url?

I hope I'm not confusing people more but I also need to know if I have to upload my pages without the links first to create the space and then go back in my web site designer, create links between the pages, and then upload them again once they're edited? I've read all the help and searched the discussions but can't find the answers I need. Thanks!

For links, you just need to make the link /mystry.html or if it is in a folder /folder/mystry.html, you don't need to include the domain.

Thanks so much for your help! If I have them in a folder in My Documents and then copy them to my web site folder the links won't work for other people because they're on my computer right? So I should link them to the pages as mystory.html or whatever the page is that I want them to go to? Since I don't need the domain, will it automatically know where go? thanks again for your time:)

Re: Links with third party web designer

Well what I would do is create a folder on your computer such as in your documents and create the website in that folder, however you create it in that folder you need to create it that way on your website, so for example you have a couple pages in the root directory (main folder) link would be /filename.htm, then you have an images folder the link to this would be /images/image.jpg.  So basically what you should is create a complete working replica on your computer.  Then transfer everything over to OL.  Hopefully that is clear?
