e-mail marketing beta

I've used the e-mail marketing add-on twice before for e-mail campaigns and found it very easy and I got a great response.  I created another campaign this week and am having trouble getting the images to go through on the e-mail.  They load into the editor but when the emails are received by the recipients, all they see are grey boxes.  The images are no larger than in previous campaigns.  Not sure if it's me, my computer or OL??  Anybody else encounter this problem? Or have any suggestions?

Re: e-mail marketing beta

Many times, a users email client will block images until they take action to display images. This is usually true from people that have not added a specific email address to their list of safe senders.

Try right clicking on an image and see if it has an option to display images or add to safe sender list. If you are using a web based email such as Hotmail, Yahoo Mail or GMail, then see if there is an option near the top of the email to display images.

Re: e-mail marketing

Does anyone else have trouble with the images in the email marketing?  The photos just don't seem to work in hotmail accounts.  I asked the help desk and they reproduced the problem and said they were 'escalating' the issue to the product group but nothing seems to have changed.  Now, MS is charging for using this email marketing even though the bugs aren't worked out yet. any other ideas on the images issue?

Re: e-mail marketing

This problem should happen only for hotmail inboxes even after you have said "Show images". There is a known problem with Hotmail emails where all images get shown as gray boxes. The fix for this is already been rolled out and should reflect for everyone in a week or so.

So after that, you should be seeing your beautiful images again in the mailbox again. Hope this helps.
