Need Help With My Web Page

I started a web site with Microsoft a little over a month ago.  I was pretty excited and amazed that I was getting hits right away.  Since I have had it up it has gotten over 1500 hits.  I get an average of 30 - 60 hits a day.  The problem I am having is no matter what everyday I get the same action count as I do hit count.  Yesterday I got 31 hits and there were 31 actions. Never fail it is always the same hits and the same actions.  The average time spent on my site is 1 min.  I can't get them to stay once they are there.  I already tried a redesign an that does not seem to be working.  I was wondering if there was anyone who could help me out.  Take a look at my site and give some advice advice or comments as to what is wrong, what can I do better, etc..  www.mojosoffice.com

Thanks

Beef Jerky?  Shoes and Handbags?  I was looking for a web designer.   Click...

Mojo, your home page is incredibly unfocused.  The first thing on your site should not be beef jerky.  You need to decide what it is you do and reveal that to your visitors.  I realize this is blunt, but you did ask.

I have dial up internet access. I went to your site at 10:48am. At 10:55am it still had not finished loading and if I tried to move the scroll bar to see if there was anything to see while I waited I just got a distorted screen with lovely lines going down.  Nothing to look at until the site finished loading.

Have no other advice, I never actually saw your homepage I left after the 7 minutes.

Hi mojo,

I took a look at your homepage, and I have to agree with Dave. You just have wayyyy tooo much going on there. First of all, the ads should be moved to the bottom of the page. They just stopped me dead when your page opened up. I'm not really sure what it is that you do. I think thats why people might be leaving your page. Is it web design? You have things like Electroics + Computers, Webpage Redesign, Ebay Consignment Selling and Scooters and RVs listed for sale, all right next to eachother. It seems more like some sort of Directory. Maybe you should arrange it in that form so people visiting your site would view it as such. They might stick around to checkout directory categories...but as it is with all the flashing and bells and whistles, it just seems really disorganized. Please take this as constructive critisizm. I can see all the work you've put into your site. I think it just needs some reorganizing to bring you some customers :). Best wishes...

I agree with the rest, you need to split that page up into multiple pages!  Such as Web Page Design, Templates, DVD's, ect.

Well the first thing I noticed is that the page doesn't fit the screen.  You have to side scroll to see the whole thing.  That would turn me off quick.

Hi,

I hope you don't mind honesty but i clicked on your site to see what everyone else was talking about and am not sure they have been entirely truthful with you. The site is messy, confused and totally unfocused - what do you want your vistors to do? If YOU visited your site for the first time would you honestly click anything other than the cross in the right corner or the back button?

Decide on a single message and avenue for income and then redesign the content to drive vistors to a single call to action that achieves your goal.

Just my thoughts!

Good luck,

Fergus

I agree with everyone here.  Your focus is all over the place.  Split things up a bit.  There is just way too mch going on right off the bat.  I would get all my pages simplified and then and focus a bit more.  Sometimes less is better.
