Microsoft Office Live Small Business Community

Hi everyone!

 My website, www.smallworldbuilders.com is completed and is up and running.  I used the "build your own site" tool instead of the templates Office Live has.  I love how easy it is to make changes locally on my computer and upload them to the site live.  It's been working out great and is very convenient.  The site is already indexed in the major search engines.

In the meantime, I would like some feedback and comments on my site.

Fantastic looking website with a little Search Engine Optimization (Web Page Analyzer) and maybe change from a static htm to a dynamic aspx ( when spiders crawl your site with aspx modify date automaticly updates to current time and date) your site will be unbeatable.

Rearrange Home page text. Rather than use the valuable space at the top of your Home page to pose  questions (to which  readers may answer “no” and click away) , I would lead with your “We Build Dollhouses for Your!” content and go with the clearly worded statement that starts”  Small World Builders is a custom dollhouse building company …” .

I am absolutely sure you want feed back. If my site looked as good as yours I would want people to write me all day long and tell me how good it looks. GREAT JOB! Bravo, bravo.

OK, the only suggestion that I might give is get a Terms if Use Agreement Page and add to your footer the statement, "By entering this site, user agrees to the Terms of Use Agreement". When I first started I did a yahoo search for Terms of Use Agreements and it found a place that does them for Free. All my research said it was important to have that and a Privacy Poicy of which you have.

So how is your traffic?

Thank you very much for your feedback! I've taken many of your suggestions in consideration and implemented them on the site.  I agree with the changes and the site does look much better now. 

 My traffic is pretty good. I rolled the site live at the end of May and traffic has doubled between June and July.  I have good search engine placement for my key words but wish my page rank showed up. 

 If there are any other comments or suggestions for the site, I would love to hear them!

Love the site, in fact I sent a question to your contacts as I may purchase a built-to-order dollhouse from you. But on to your question, the only thing that I am questioning here is that I do not like the scrolling on the pages, it feels off to me when I am scrolling the page and not the browser. You might want to resize the pages but that is of course up to you.
