Hiya, for the past 3 or 4 days I have not been able to change the "navigation titles" of any of thew pages on OL - 3 sites.

I've tried contacting support - but then I cant reply to their email they sent me to give more details on the porblem. They do not provide any other contact details in their reply email.

4. Change the entry in "navigation title"

5. Click "apply" or "ok"

6. This is where I get an error and cannot continue.

Does anyone have an email address for support that works?

The one that came through to me was: Microsoft Customer Support (olsmb.sbfr.00.00.en.tpu.gur.ua.t01.spt.00.em@css.one.microsoft.com)

Which gives me a "delivery failier error." - I've now logged another ticket to get their contact details... but no response. - Grrrrrrrrrrrr.

Good morning ray-zin.  I just tried changing my nav. titles, one on a new page and a second on a page dating back to beta days.  Both seemed to work for me.  No comfort in that, I know, but it could be a hint at the solution.  That it is happening on three different sites is another hint.  Have you tried the all-purpose exorcism:  delete temporary internet files, delete browsing history and either delete cookies, or scrub them with an Ad-Aware scan?  Then shout, "devils be gone!" (can't hurt). 

You might also post the Support ticket number here so that the moderators can follow up.  Good luck.

Perhaps another clue...

I tried on my portrait site (I have the OL navigation on a test page) and got the same results as ray-zin, click ok and an error message.  Went to OLDesigntips and tried and it worked!  No error, the navigation name changed and the new one appeared in the navigation menu.  Went back to the Portrait site and tried again - error again.  Same computer, all tried within a few minutes of each other.

I performed no exorcisms in between. 

lol... here be dragons and all that.

Will try exorcising. The Service Request is # 1075899808.

Will report back after clearing cache etc.

hmmmmmm --- curious! --- seems to be some pages and not others. (I've tried numerous now - just need to find the pattern)

I got a feeling it may have something to do with html modules....

Hot on the case. - reporting back soon.

Hi ray-zin, I'm struggling with the same problem! I'm trying to delete a page and change the navigation on another. 

I've tried deleting the browsing history etc as RxDave suggested and still no luck.

I've also contacted Microsoft support and been given a number. I guess we just have to wait.

Still no reply from support. Grrrrrrrrrr!!!!

Is there somewhere we can actually view and update these support requests? I find it rediculous that they ask you for more information in the email they send but there is no way of getting the information back to them??? Or am I just being daft and missing something obvious?

You're absolutely *not* daft. I almost always find that the messages from support tend to indicate (1) there's a language barrier, (2) that, by sending a response, support has told you all you need to know and  (3) they've closed the call. I think I tried following up with a support request a couple of times, but no more. Too frustrating.

 Hello I have had the same problems. It seem only to come up when I was sign in through AOL, When I switch over to MSN the problem went away. Interestingly AOL gave me some insite, because I was also got a Error Message from them. Them had me adjust something and it has seem to fix both problems Just a thought for you.

What I have done in the past when contacting support was to contact them again and refer to the original ticket number.  Don't know if they have changed how things work since then.

If a lot of people are having difficulties I imagine things might be a bit busy there.

lol. I already tried that.

The first time the answered quickly. Second time nothing! - Maybe they saw the ticket I'm refering to and decided to rather look at the next one.

Having the same problem as of yesterday, 14 Aug. Not only can I not change page title, however, in trying to change one title, I lost the ability to display the title on the Navigation Bar period!!

After reading your Microsoft help response failures, I'm concerned re the assistance or lack thereof I'm about to receive when I report the error message to them.

One thing, however, I understand Office will be down for a period of time on Sunday. Hopefully our [and whomever else's] problem has been acknowledged and a fix is in store.

I guess we can hope anyway...

Yeah - we can only hope they load a patch. I have a nav changes I need to make in order to have more space for more pages ;-) and I cant do that until this is fixed. I think everyone here should submit a support request anyway and maybe even refer back to this topic. Maybe the more they get the more serious they will take it. - I can't imagine any new clients sticking around too long if they cant even move their pages around.

Latest response from support regarding this:

"Please note that the issue that you have identified is a known issue. We have forwarded this issue to our Escalation Team, and they are diligently working to resolve this issue. However, we do not have a time frame for a fix for this issue; we are expecting to receive the answer shortly. I appreciate your patience and cooperation in this regard."

 I love the way they always say: "If you choose to reply via email, please do not change the subject line so that we can directly reference your case. "

But you cant actually reply. lol.
