I disagree with you on your point about using free stuff, i have found some of the most valuable tools that I use are free. I will give you some free advice and let you deside the value. your domain businessinyourhome.com looks like it is using advanced url forwarding where in fact you would be further ahead to use Redelegation. your current results are listed below:

this is saying with your current methods that the search engines can't properly index and rank your website. you could redelegate your businessinyourhome.com domain to office live small business and then embed your current website by using iframe and it would be completely undetectable to the search engines. one of the main advantages of using office live is the ability to use iframes without the search engines detecting it. By the way I only have 8 bedrooms not 10 and instead of living on the beach front property I live in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.

yes we do agree on many points and the honor is for me to be able to communicate and exchange ideas with you. I am just a SEO addict and think that is the most important part of having a online business I am not happy unless I am page one position one on all search engines for all my keywords (of course doing this without paying for any promotes). I just get carried away sometimes when I see websites with great potential that are not optimized for max search engine position.

I would get a office live small business website and just redelegate the dns server and be able to have good meta tags without the frames being detected, as it is now with your current advanced url forwarding. on many other systems too url forwarding is totally useless for having a good search engine ranking. you can use spaces as your blog and embed it right to your office live website. it's free too so not like you are taking a chance. right now no matyter how good the content of your website the search engines can't see anything.

I wouldn't worry too much about the meta tags on your website. As those are what many search engines spammers used 10 years ago, they hold no power today with the major search engines. You would be better off ensuring that the title tag (top browser bar), headers and your content have the keywords that you would like to be listed for.

You actually have a good thing going having a blog hosted with Blogger. Since Google owns it, you know that the content will be listed quickly, though the rankings may not come right away. But I agree with scbyte that you should have your domain separate from the blog and not using redirections. If you did set it up on Office Live Small Business, you could then use your blog as a way to drive traffic to your main website. Of course have some squidoo lenses or HubPages hubs on your topic would help as well as they are often indexed quickly as well.

I imagine that the form that you use to collect email addresses is something like an Aweber or 1shoppingcart.com type of form that keeps listings and has a possible autoresponder sequence. You would be able to add that to your OLSB site if you were to get one as well.

Hello Gary,

I was actually trying to agree that it would be good for him to have an OLSB site. But that he could still keep the blog that he has, as a way to direct traffic to OLSB and that he could still use the mail list manager that he is using on his blog with OLSB as well.

I agree with you that URL forwarding is not such a great idea and that the effects can be unexpected.

To put it simply advanced url forwarding makes it hard or impossible for the search engine spiders to properly index and list your website darrens website is currently suffering because of this exact problem from his purchaced domain name.
