Microsoft Office Live Small Business Community

hi all.. could someone help me?

i was trying to use OLSB for two days, but the interface is completely crazy. When i enter in Business Aplications, the screen fits in the entire width and i cannot see the aplications iframe bars at the left.

i cannot see the orange header yet. and in Contact Manager, all CSS are crazy and i cannot see the aplication, because the titles are too big to the screen. I was trying with IE7 and Firefox 3. I had cleaned the cache and start to login in with a fresh connection, without any temp file.

It seems at this time, when i enter in project or tasks i lost the left iframe bar and i can see the project form in all screen, without the orange header too. Maybe it was an improvement from Microsoft toward to clean the interface?

Could someone help me?

I can see your screen shots, not sure I can answer you question though, does this happen to all business apps? have you tried creating a new business app does it happen with that one?

That only happens to me when there was a partial download of the page. However, I don't think that's the problem you are faced with. Need to contact support for this my man - http://support.microsoft.com

BTW, one more idea.. create a new Office Live account (brand new) and see if that happens again. Then we can isolate if it's an account issue or your desktop issue.

StudioAllen, thanks for your answer.

I have two Office Live SB. My second OL are perfect. But, my master - which i use everyday - got this bug.

This problem occurs only in some apps, specially Business Apps, in where, after i click in this link, i get those screens.

This occurs in Contact Manager too. Other apps - including news apps - are perfect.

I am very affraid that i should reset OL and lost my all data.

Thats a very strange bug. Very strange.

I have 2 OL acocunts as i said to StudioAllen. Problem occurs only in my first account. I am thinking about bad data inserted into database.

For exemple: data with ' or ´ may cause crash in SQL Server statments. But i cant belive Microsoft could not to see something like it. I prefer t think in another cause.

 Hi Alex,

One more idea.. try packaging one of the business apps that has the problem as a solution and then install it on another account. See what happens to that app in the new account

Also re: bad data in the DB. It's not really a plausible explanation because there is an integrity check at the Sharepoint (Office Live server level).

i will try to pack Contact Manager, but i cant see the options (settings, etc) because the screen crashed. I really dont know. But, i wil try right now to migrate data to my other OL account.

I will keep this post up to dated.

I packaged "Project_Manager" and all data. I will try now to restore to my another account.

I restored "Project_Manager" solution from my 1st damaged account to my new 2nd fresh account.

Result: problem still there!

In my new account, when i click over the Project Manager link, i go to Project Manager homepage, but i lost the left iframe bar, i lost top orange OL bar and i lost horizontal aplications bar. I got only a clean page with the projects, without any other option.

I think i lost all my data, because i wont solve this issue. :-(

You won't.

So it's some fo the pages in the business app that's causing this - could be corrupted. I dont think your data is the issue. Do you have Excel or Access? You can export your data and then reimport them back in.  You canalso use the data sheet view and highlight all the columns with the data and then paste it back into your new business app (you will need to create a new one).
