New web page

I have just created a new web page - I believe I have everything set up correctly - what I am not clear about is how it comes up on search engines.

For example if I put in a Google search it does not show  -  same thing with Web Ferret - so how do I make my web page visable - What do I have to create to make this happen ?

Regards

Worzle

Re: New web page

Hello Worzle:

I would first optimize all my webpages using Web Page Analyzer then I would submit my website to all the search engines using the free submit on http://freewebsubmission.com/

Re: New web page

It would help if we knew more. You don't say whether it is the first page you created on your site or if you already have a site and this was just a new addition. Are you in a huge hurry for it to get listed or do you have time to wait it out? If it's your first page, it's already visible but it could take weeks or even months to show. If you do what scybyte said and submit it to the search engines, it'll show up faster, but depending on how well you pick your keywords and how much competition you have on them, it could still be months before you really see yourself listed high enough for anyone to notice you. If this is an additional page, don't do anything. The next time the search engine scans your site, it'll pick it up if one of your other pages that is has access to has a link to it somewhere. And if you absolutely have to have it listed now, there is an option to pay search engines to place your ad, but since it costs you every time someone clicks on your link, it could end up costing a lot of money. Not something many of us would suggest, especially if you are new, but it is an option.
