Redelegation help!

Huge problem for a newbie here...please help.

So, I have a domain registered with 1&1 hosting.  I followed the directions for redelegating my domain to Office Live, but after 2 weeks, the status of my domain was still pending, even though I already received an e-mail from Office Live saying that my redelegation was finished.  Then, I canceled my domain with 1&1 and am waiting for the domain to be open again so I can start over from registering for the domain.  I think I have made a huge mess here, so will someone please help?

Thanks so much!

Sorry--I forgot to say that I already contacted support.  However, they did not explain, and told me to do something I already did.  Thanks for your reply, though!

Re: Redelegation help!

nethack, read the section on "Domain Names" and "What is Redelegation" here:  http://smallbusiness.officelive.com/ResourceCenter/FAQ.    Check the "Learn More" link.  I am not the expert on this, but I believe it is intended that you maintain the domain name with the previous registrar.  If you cancelled it there, you may well have a huge mess.  Hopefully, someone else will have better news.  Like I say, I am not the expert, so there is still hope.

Dave is right you need keep your domain at 1&1 unless you want to move to someone different.

Re: Redelegation help!

We did the same thing and were told by MOL that if you cancel the pending redelegation you cannot go back in and re-try it b/c the name is then registered/locked on the server.  If anyone else knows a way around this, please help!
