Has anyone had any luck yet with the new changes?

I have been unable to post any images on my site since the new features where added 8-8-08. I have gone to the html module and pasted there but the code just shows up in a box. The very basis of my site is images of products that link to merchants sites where the orders can be placed, countrydiscounts.com. The new changes have put me out of business. I need to place weekly products updates for my merchants. OL is working on it but the waiting is long. So I wanted to know if anyone has had any luck with pasting images/banners that link to other websites sucessfully. I am able to add images and banners that don't have the linking capacities. My site is full of links and images that link to other websites, so you can see the process used to work before, but now adding a working link just produces code and I noticed that the grant access window has to be clicked twice where before only once or the link just pasted. So, how's it going out there, any of you smart people figured a way around? I also want to know if upgrading my account would help, has anyone tried that?

Are you using the HTML module or custom footer module?

Hi Studio Allen,

I have been using the HTML module and what I get is a box with the code inside. The kind of box you can click in and resize, instead of an image. I did see your post about using the footer but if I did this I would need to know how to write the code for it. It is beyond me as to why I would be able to use the footer to place the images I need to place on several pages of my site. Each catagory relates to a certain kind of product, I can't have links that show up site wide. Why does the footer work? If you view my site countrydiscounts.com and click jewelry for example you will see that I have product images from different merchants who sell jewelry and then go to the beauty and cosmetics link (home page index) and see different merchant images for beauty products, each page needs to be category specific. Again, why would the footer which displays site wide work or is this a go around. If it is, thanks a million, I'll try it.

Hope, I think it is the copying and pasting that is the problem right now.  Is that how you are doing it?  If you have IE7, use the main menu bar Edit > Copy, Edit > Paste and it will work.  Another option is use Firefox.  Any other method results in code.

Have you tried just placing the image with the image tool, then making it a link with the hyperlink tool?  If you don't like the blue border, you can change it with a little CSS code.
