HELP -Is anyone else having problems accessing their site through the address bar or Microsoft Office Live?

Since about 3pm yesterday, I have been able to get to my site www.prettypinktoes.co.uk. to see or edit the site, I get the message

The website declined to show this webpage

 HTTP 403

Most likely causes:

  • This website requires you to log in.

Support are on the case and said a few customers were experiencing the same problem, They have assured me they can see it but it is really worrying as I desperately need to edit the site.  I can get to my reports and emails (through hotmail), I also have another site www.freshfoot.co.uk which is fine.

Anyone else in the same situation

Tina

Yes I am experiencing exactly the same problem with my site (which I was in mid design) www.jutas.co.uk.  Strangly I can't access my site on any device (PC, Laptop, Playstaion or Iphone) via my broadband, but can access it on my iphone using 3G.  This led me to beleive that it may be a problem with Internet Service Provider or my router (but I'm not sure now I have seen your post).  Is your ISP virgin Media?

FYI - I can't see your www.freshfoot.co.uk site but can see prettypinktoes.co.uk

If I get a resolve I will let you know.  I would be grateful if you would do the same.

Re: HELP -Is anyone else having problems accessing their site through the address bar or Microsoft Office Live?

Hi Jeremy

My last correspondence from support last night is again they know what the problem is and are working on it, it's over 60 hours I have been unable to access www.prettypinktoes.co.uk and I've got products I'm out of stock on it that need taking off.  Poor you in mid edit, how annoying.  What have support said to you?

That is strange you can't see www.freshfoot.co.uk when I can and edit etc....

Yes my ISP is Virgin I gather yours is too?

I googled the HTTP403 which is the error sign I get and it basically has something to do with security?

Keep me informed too, thanks

I too am having the same problem and yes my ISP is Virgin.  I have been experiencing these site access problems for the same length of time as previous posts.

Support are presently saying: "At this point, we are trying to determine if this outage is being caused by a Networking problem on our side or a DNS problem from the ISP side."

They are definitely aware but still no resolution.

Hi Sandy

What is your site domain?

I have just had another reply from support, very basic!

Please be informed that the concern you have identified is an ongoing concern. Our Product Group is diligently working to resolve it. At this time, we do not have a time frame for a resolution for this particular concern; we are expecting to receive the answer shortly. I would sincerely appreciate your patience and cooperation in this regard.

It does make me wonder then whether all Virgin Media users cannot view our websites?  the sales from my site are definetley down since the problem has arisen so it proabably looks that way.

If you are a virgin media user can you please take a look to see if you can see our sites please, thank you

I am having the same problems which means that 3 million virgin customers cannot see my website.

This is one of many problems I have had with Office Live.

My answer to it all is: I am moving hosts.

Hi Tina

I am not a business and only tinker with things to practice - so I certainly don't have any of the pressing concerns that you have but I share the frustration.

I cannot access www.prettypinktoes.co.uk but can access www.freshfoot.co.uk - I cannot access www.jutas.co.uk mentioned by Jeremy.  I also cannot access many other well known office live sites such as http://artotems.com/olexamples.aspx.

I too had the exact same response from support in my last email.

Regards

A few of us have already reported the situation to Office live support, who are 'on the case', but is is worrying as we have had no progress on the situation since Thursday.  I have been losing businness as I'm sure other customers of Office Live are too.

Hi St

I know it is so frustrating, but I must say I have been using Office Live for just over a year now, and I have come across a couple of problems which were quite quickly resolved.  This problem has been the biggest yet and the most costly too!  Out of curiosity what other hosts are you looking at?

Re: HELP -Is anyone else having problems accessing their site through the address bar or Microsoft Office Live?

Hello everyone,

I'm having the same problems as everyone else, and yes I'm also with Virgin. The really annoying thing is that I can still get Reports so I know that several people have been to my Contact Us page, and the only reason that they do that is to leave a message, which means that there are quite a few customers or potential customers that must think that I'm ignoring them. Does anyone know if it's possible for me to access my Inbox while this problem is ongoing? I'd also be interested to know if my site, ellisreplicas.co.uk can be viewed by other Virgin users.

Thanks,

Mike

Re: HELP -Is anyone else having problems accessing their site through the address bar or Microsoft Office Live?

bins123, this non-Virgin user can access the site with no problems.

www.ellisreplicas.co.uk

It is looking more and more likely that the issue is with the ISP.  Have you tried contacting Virgin support  to discuss the problems?  It may be the best option to start with.

Good luck, all!  Please keep us informed.

I am with Virgin and I cannot access your site. ellisreplicas.co.uk  Has anyone contacted Virgin on this matter,  if so what link did you use? Perhaps we should bombard them with complaints all using the same link.

To be quite frank I am getting very worried as I have stupidly placed info on my site that I have not backed up. Will all this info be lost?
