  • Re: Would be VERY grateful for input!

Lynnette, there is nothing wrong with a personal touch. I went looking for it on your site, but really couldn't find it. Let's see if I can provide a little nudge to get those creative and personal juices flowing. Here are some first impressions: Home Page: Lots of words, no "Creations."...
  • Re: Need Help With My Web Page

Beef Jerky? Shoes and Handbags? I was looking for a web designer. Click... Mojo, your home page is incredibly unfocused. The first thing on your site should not be beef jerky. You need to decide what it is you do and reveal that to your visitors. I realize this is blunt, but you did ask.

  • Re: Suggestions, please!

I have just a couple of thoughts to ponder. The first thing to decide is what do you want it to look like? Check out other sites and see what you like and dislike. Look at colors, layouts, images, etc. Then make a test page off navigation and experiment with layouts and arrangements. See if you can duplicate...
  • Re: Is there a listing with other Microsoft Office Live Users websites?

One place to start is the Masters Forum a few sections below this one: http://myofficelivecommunity.com/discuss/forums/46.aspx . There are several sites there with a lot of good information. Start with this one: http://officelivepages.com/default.aspx and check the "Best Sites" and "Link...

Any advice on making my home...
  • Re: newbie needing help please

The easiest way is to remove the pages from navigation. Click on "Properties" in the Page Editor and uncheck the box for "Show in navigation." When creating a new page, also uncheck the "Show..." check box. You cannot do this with your home page ("default") so...

  • Re: Custom header - Please advise

Hi Keith, As Dave and others have suggested the 780 width format is a good bet for most people. In the case of your site the page content is forcing things to go a bit awry. I also notice that there is no consistency to the page width. People are used to scrolling down a page to find more content. Using...

  • The Office Live Clock - Its Free

A bit of fun. I create Flash based clocks for others and just thought I would create one for the Office Live Community. Feel free to use it. The working clock and the code to embed it are located here: http://artotems.com/oltimeclock.aspx "Time travels in divers paces with divers persons. I ’ll...

  • Re: Changing Logo size for Insertion into Zones

Hi Elaine, Welcome. The best way to accomplish this is to use a image editing program like PhotoShop to scale down the size of your image to a reasonable size. If you don't have PhotoShop or some other Adobe Image editing product like Fireworks, I suggest you try GIMP for FREE .

  • Re: Fix white space in between rollover graphics

Not sure why this rollover navigation requires that much code but anyhow, the quick fix to the problem would be to change .MSC_Body from #FFFFFF to #EBDFAB in your custom stylesheet (so that the white becomes the same color as your tan background). You do this by adding .MSC_Body {background: #EBDFAB...
